Here is my entry for Becky’s for April BrightSquare challenge. Here is my entry for Ludwig Keck’s challenge called Monday Windows for April 5.
Chris and I were out yesterday and a house not too far from us had this gorgeous tree in their yard. I believe it may be some kind of a dogwood. I really don’t know trees, so if anyone knows what it is please tell me.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.
Qi (energy) hugs

That’s some tree! Great shot.

I certainly would – even if there was no room for anything else!

I would in a second. 😀 But I would have to have a bench facing the house at the edge of the yard. 😀

That is lovely. I wonder if the roots are digging the house up though!

She’s right though. Tree roots usually take up the same space as the branches and this tree is very wide!

This doesn’t seem to grow as big as roots as the giant redwoods and sequoias that we have. I really don’t know the answer though.

Thanks. I really don’t think it is a dogwood, because I don’t see them get that big. But then I am a novice at trees. 😀

have you tried the reverse image search or does it bring up every tree in blossom?!

I’m not sure what you mean.

Google images allows you to upload a pic and then search for anything similar – I have found it works really well for plant identification – well sometimes!

It is not a dogwood. It looks like a cherry or plum blossom. A gorgeous tree whatever it is and I would certainly love it in my garden!

I’ll have see if I can figure it out. Thanks for leading to cherry or plum. 😀 😀 I didn’t think dogwoods got that big of a canopy.

I was just looking at a bunch of photos and I think it maybe a cherry tree. It’s the only one I’m finding with that kind of canopy … at least in google. Thanks Becky and Jude for your help.

You might have to cut a window shape through the branches after a while, but it’s fabulous 🤣💕
