Lens-Artists Challenge #145: Getting to Know You

Here is my entry for Scillagrace this week’s cohost of Lens-Artists Photo A Week Challenge with the topic of Getting to Know You.

This is a photo I took in 2013 of the matron, Margaret, of the family owned Swan Island Dahlia. She has since passed, but I can remember several of the conversations we had over the years. She would walk around and just sit down and start talking to you like you were her best friend. She talked about whatever was going on at the dahlia farm. One day I remember we had a huge conversation about their koi ponds. She was always a delight.

I took this photo of a lady getting to know these buddhists at the Tulip Festival.
This has always been one of my favorite photos I took of Chris getting to know an alpaca.
