Here is my entry for Hammad’s Weekend Skies Challenge.
I took this photo in Canby, Oregon just a few minutes ago. Looking to the west you can see some rain soon approaching.
I took these photo to try out my new Sony 4.0 70-200mm lens for my Sony A7III camera. The last photo in this series impressed me.

Looking to the north, there was partly cloudy skies.

This next photo is a crop of the photo above. Can you see the seagull flying in the right upper third just above the biggest cloud. The clarity on this new lense even cropped this small is remarkable.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.
Qi (energy) hugs
Cee

Nice lens, Cee! Great clarity, indeed.

Woah!
This is truly remarkable. Seeing two entirely opposite types of clouds on the same sky is so mesmerizing.
And your new lens is certainly an amazing one. More fun shots coming our way, I’m sure 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing these lovely sky photos with my challenge, Cee 🙂

I like the grey clouds (on photo, in reality I prefer blue skies, I think).

I actually like partly, because I get to hot. Having lived in Denver where they get like 300 sunny days a year, the blue skies get old. 😀

I think I know what you mean. After 7 years of Saudi I really enjoyed grey skies and rain. But I think I’ve worked it out of my system now. 😄

I still love the rain. 😀 😀

I think I missed this – did you say add? The sky is bright and I can see the birdie.

The skies near Amarillo yesterday looked a lot like that first one and the heavy rain pouring down from them didn’t make it any lighter!

We actually ended up with a little thunder and lighting, which is unheard of where I live.

Just lovely in an ominous sort of way. My dad told me a long time ago that when it’s raining and the sun is shining that’s when the devil is beating his wife. This reminded me of that (and him) lol.

Yeah, that’s another class I need to do. 😀 😀 I will touch on it briefly in the flower tips.

That’s a great idea. It’s a little techy, but if people are thinking about what lenses work best for them. One reason I haven’t gotten a new hand held is that I want better pictures rather than just ok even though I’m just an amateur.

We can talk about what you want. I can maybe be of some help.

I need to talk to Vince and see what might be in our budget. The big things are light and easy to use and takes good pictures.

I’d go with Sony, they are the easiest in my mind to use. Any new digital will have more light control. I don’t even have a flash on my camera. The one thing you want to make sure if it is a point and shoot camera, is that you have an eye piece (not just the screen in back of the camera). When taking photos, looking through the eye piece you get a much steadier focus.

Does a Sony point and shoot have a zoom lens? What about a light camera that isn’t a point and shoot?

I just got it. Thank you. I’m going to check it all out and then have a heart to heart with Vince. I saw the price. 🙂 I’ll read all the specs. Thank you so much for going to that much trouble, Cee, I love your comment, “Don’t take notes!” You are so funny and you know me! 🙂

Just remember that camera comes with two lenses. You won’t have to add that to the price.

This sounds like exactly what I’m looking for based on the video, and it’s mirrorless. It is saying that it has a viewfinder. Sorry, I’m taking notes as I listen right here in your comment box. 🙂 LOL
