Good afternoon! I meant to put this up last night, but Star Trek stole my attention. I was outside yesterday — me and the baby trees and the out of control rose bushes and a big pair of cutting shears, or what we call “the big loppers.” After which, having come out without a bag and wearing pants without pockets (why don’t they put pockets on women’s pants?), I had the cell in one hand and the shear in the other — and no camera. Hence the cell phone pictures which I don’t think are anywhere NEAR as good as the pictures I take with a camera, but it was the only picture taking equipment I had with me.
Everything is growing like crazy and the pollen is making it hard to breathe, so I knew I wasn’t coming back to take more pictures.so iPhone it was.

Your peonies are so fancy! When I was a kid, we grew the original version which were big and puffy and seemed for some reason to attract millions of ants. So we could admire them, but we never brought them into the house. The new ones are less dense, more leaves and hopefully, many fewer ants!
