PPAC: #5 – Fire Hydrants

Here is my entry for Marsha’s, Always Write blog, PPAC #5.

Public art is which encompasses any form of art you see in a public place, large or small, statues, murals, graffiti, gardens, Christmas lights, even buildings or bridges. The art should be visible from streets, sidewalks or outdoor public places.

A couple of the small towns around me paint their fire hydrants for all of us to enjoy. Click any photo to see slideshow.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. These are lots of fun. As you know, I love seeing power boxes decorated and I’ve seen a few hydrants that way as well. Why not? They make people smile and that’s good.

  2. How cute are those! I went back to pick a favorite, but can’t do it. I’m partial to the animal ones. They are all so vivid and fun. 🙂
