Whoops! I first put mine in as a CFFC (sorry!), but just changed it. Cool challenge, though. I chose “sand” –

I thought I’ll try something else. And then the nudibums took over 😉
I like the photos you took away from the photo. The rhododendron is a gorgeous colour. And I really like the confidence of the crow strutting on the sand!

Hi Cee
Your Rhododendron blossom tendrils are exquisite. And I adore the ‘you mist be this tall’ Bauman Farms apple sign.
Herr’s my submission – I hope its ok that I went with your black and white option:

Running very late Cee so sorry for that. I really like that still-life with the Daff’s and tape measure 🙂 Here’s my entry – https://2e0mca.wordpress.com/2021/08/24/cmmc-august-pick-a-topic-from-my-photo/

Hi Cee
I adore your pick a topic challenges! Your b&w photo of the grill-work (for want of the right word) is striking and placing the measuring tape in your photos is a great way to see the scale. I would have guessed wrong on the size of all of them!
Here’s the Great Egret keeping it light and doing close up inspections:
