Here is my entry for Marsha’s, Always Write blog, PPAC #11.
Signs can tell you a lot about a place or a store. Some signs make quick an artistic point.

Featured Bloggers
We had a marvelous response from all of you on last week’s PPAC #10. Marsha picked out the featured bloggers and says “thank you” to each of you for joining along in our challenge. Their posts really grabbed Cee’s attention. They are all worthy of a second or third look.

Public art is which encompasses any form of art you see in a public place, large or small, statues, murals, graffiti, gardens, Christmas lights, even buildings or bridges. The art should be visible from streets, sidewalks or outdoor public places.
I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I love that hat sign….and I don’t even like hats!

Great sign examples. We would visit the Panda Chinese restaurant in a heartbeat!

I only drove past it, never ate there. But then I don’t get to that town very often 😀

These are great, Cee. I like the one with all the restrictions. What a bunch of oddball requirements! Of course, you know I love the car. I think the hat would go with my new wigs, don’t you?

Oh yes, that hat would work…..or I’m sure a number of hats in the store would too. 😀

I love the signage! Car bursting through a billboard is a definite statement.
My post is Halloween-themed.

Great signs, Cee. Have you heard the Tom Waits song “You Can Leave Your Hat On?” One of my favorites, but I can’t find it online. Perhaps you can do better. Worth the search.

I couldn’t find it off hand either. 😀

Forgottenman saved the day. It wasn’t by Tom Waits. It was Randy Newman. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C99ZPoKkGmg

I saw Randy Newman yesterday in my search, but I don’t know him nor did I know Tom Waits. It is a cool song.

I “discovered” Randy Newman and Tom Waits in 1981–thus the confusion. But, can’t believe I made that mistake. They were both quirky and it was believable from either of them.
