Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.
This is a closer up view of the sunflower from yesterday.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

We do not have a drought here, not at all ! Our summer has been very wet.

I love rain and really miss it. We are usually only dry in July and August. The rest of the year is pretty rainy, so this is really unusual for us to be this dry.

Lovely, there are so many kinds of sunflowers. I found some here growing wild.

It would be amazing. In Woodlake, the Botanical Garden has a sunflower festival with about 31 varieties or so. That’s where I learned that they turn their heads. Here’s a post I did on the sunflowers at the Woodlake Botanical Garden. https://alwayswrite.blog/2017/07/05/why-do-sunflowers-have-necks/
