CFFC: Future Nostalgic

This is the week for topic is  Future Nostalgic . Sue from Sue at Words Visual blog and I were talking one day and looking at some older photos that she had. She called them Future Nostalgic. That where we take a photo and know we will enjoy looking some time in the future and get that notalgic feeling.

So for this week, it’s a great week to go through your archives and show us some photos that bring back some wonderful moments.

Yaquina Head Lighthouse in Newport Oregon. The left photo was taken in 2003 and the right photo in 2009. I love this lighthouse. In 2003 I walked up inside the lighthouse. At the time we lived in Denver, Colorado and we took a trip to Oregon. That’s when we decided to move to Oregon.

I had a marvelous response from all of you on last week’s Sand and Dirt challenge. I want to say thank you to each of you for joining along in my challenge.  Here are the featured bloggers for this week.  Their posts really grabbed my attention. They are all worthy of a second or third look.

Tips from Cee

I have recently started a Tips from Cee’s page, you many want to check it out every once in awhile.  You may pick up an idea or two for your own photography.

My entry for this week

This was one huge snow storm in Colorado back in 1996. Notice, the snowy staircase on Chris’s upper left. We had over 3 feet of snow. Chris is standing between my truck and her car.
Me and our first pug “Squirt” on Agate beach, Oregon in 2003.
Chris walking a labyrinth she made on the beach near Crescent City, California.
.A friend took this photo of me (in purple) and Chris (in yellow). We were camping at Twin Peaks, Colorado (10,000+ feet elevation) in early May of 1996. We’d camp there nearly every weekend from Memorial to Labor day.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Qi (energy) hugs

  1. I had a very interesting time with this challenge. Oddly enough, it overlapped with something I was planning to write anyway. I have so few older pictures. I should scan some of the pictures we took before everything went virtual, but I have (I know this sounds stupid) forgotten exactly how i used to do it. I’m pretty sure if I try hard, I can figure it out. I think I’m just getting lazy and tired.

I love your pictures. You look so HAPPY.

    • I’ve been fortunate, I’ve been happy most of my life. It’s nice to feel it again. Covi really took it away for a long time for me. 😀 😀 I liked your post. 😀

  2. The picture of you in purple is so adorable. I love your smile in that picture! This might be my favorite post. It shows a glimpse into your life. What a snow storm! I remember those.
