Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.
Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.
This photo was taken a few years back. I like it because it holds the promise of spring. Notice the tiny hail balls.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I know the tulips are the focus of the shot, but I like the rock as well; at first glance I thought it was a sculpture of an animal 😃

I love rocks. That rock I actually brought from our old house. 😀 😀

To me, those little hailstones look like gravel.

That’s about as big as hail as we get here. I used to live in the state of Colorado, and they get baseball size hail or bigger. Those can get destructive.

You are very lucky, here they can be as large as golf balls. One summer we had so much it was just like winter and my grandchildren played out in it.

Poor tulips in the hail! Hope they survived.

The hail we get here is so tiny it doesn’t hurt anything. 😀

These remind me of the one year I was successful with tulips. I love your “the only photographer you should compare……..” banner. Such a true statement not only for photography but so many of the creative pursuits we make.

Yes, it would be true for any art. I’m glad you like that banner. When I saw that quote I had to put it on my blog.

Sunday was great no rain. We actually got out for a drive and had blue sky in the afternoon. It’s been cloudy since with some rain. Today, it’s been raining most of the day. I’m so glad we had Sunday 😀
