Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD).  During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.

Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.  Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.

  19. Speaking of red, now THAT is a wonderful color of red. It’s almost a dark pink. Whatever it is, I’ll take a sweater in that color!

    I asked a question in my post tonight. I’m looking for input on graphics programs. I’m really not happy with Photoshop. it sucks all the memory out of my machine and getting the cache on a PC to fully empty is one of the issues Microsoft has never addressed. i don’t think Macs have the same problem, but using the “new” photoshop on my PC is (1) not new — this is the same old application with a few useless bells and whistles, and (2) is destabilizing my computer. I would be very happy to find something else to use. I won’t be upgrading to Win-11 either since this computer can’t. And then, there’s the Mac whose main limitation is relatively small hard drive. Otherwise, I can happily use either machine. I have not had any luck finding a graphics program that does the basic stuff I normally do without being ridiculously complicated. But I figure if YOU don’t use it, then you definitely know something I would very much like to know too!

    • It sounds like your basic problem you are having with Photoshop is you don’t have enough Ram memory. It says it will run on 8 gig but barely. I have a macbook pro and I have 32 gb. It runs fast for me. You will need at least 16 gb to run fairly smoothly. What I use is a part of Adobe Photoshop (Camera RAW) it would run a little quicker, but without the 16 gb it will run slowly.

      I don’t know that much about Corel, but they maybe an option for you.
