FOTD – February 7 – Primroses

Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD).  During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.

Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.  Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.

This is another spring flower. Actually they should be out in some stores by now.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. If ever there was a perfect illustration of the difference between coasts, it’s that spring is coming there and we are deep in the grip of a really icy winter here. That looks exactly like the flowers we were growing in our outdoor pots. In fact, those ARE the same flowers. Finally i know what they are!

We also grow wild primroses. They look similar, but they are much smaller and around here, always primrose blue.

    • Primroses are usually grown outdoors. We’ve had them in the past, and the bugs eat them. I love the colors they come in and capture them at stores…or did prior to covid. 😀
