They bloom early in the season and usually in shaded area. I don’t see them often either. 😀 😀

I love trilliums. I have them growing in my yard when I lived in Virginia.

I think they are akin to the johnny-jump-ups or “pulpit” flowers in the woods. I enjoyed the petal enumeration exercise. 🙂

Very pretty. And each with three perfect petals. Is this a tree or bush or ground flower? I’ve never seen one before.

They are bulbs and I’d classify them as a ground flower. But who knows what experts would classify them as LOL
