Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.
Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.
How many of you see a Jolly Old Man?

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I love how from that angle many orchids look very much like creatures of some sort. 🙂

I told David that I wanted an Orchid for Valentines Day and that is what I got. I have never had one rebloom but I always figured it was living in the north and the cold winters. now that i’m in the south i’m excited to see if it will rebloom

Oh I hope it does rebloom for you 😀

Do you know if it would do best outdoors? I saw something that showed that they don’t even need to be put in pots or anything, just a wooden trellis. Maybe they are like Air plants.

I have yet to see an orchid that just isn’t spectacular. When I look at this one, I see a bird, maybe a yellow parakeet or hummingbird. As always, absolutely fantastic angle and shot. Love you Cee!

Orchids are one of my favorite species. They look kinda happy to me for some reason.

Since I don’t grown them, they are hard to photograph in various nurseries and stores. 😀 😀
