Chris and I took our first Sternwheeler cruise on the Columbia River (Cascade Lock, OR) on September 12, 2010. That was nearly 12 years ago now. We’ve taken that cruise a couple of times.
This first photo is of the Captain walking up the ramp to the Sternwheeler.
The photo is just some of the landscape we could see from the Columbia River..
We went under the Bridge of the Gods and traveled down close to the locks.
On the way back to Cascade lock I took this photo I-84 and a small boat on the river.
This last photo is of the paddle wheel on the sternwheeler.

It is fun. It’s a calm ride and the one I go on isn’t so full that you can really walk around and get views from all over. 😀 😀

What a fantastic cruise.
Heidi has told me her bucket list includes a trip where we go sailing together. If we ever fulfill that goal, I’ll be sure to share the photos.

What beautiful views and memories from this Sternwheeler cruise, Cee! That looks like so much fun. We love the Columbia River Gorge area and hope to get over there this summer so Hans can do some windsurfing.
