Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Beautiful; they look like they may be part of the thistle family 😃

I just looked it up. They are not a part of the thistle family. Teasels are actually hard when dried. They are/were used for cleaning wool.

Isn’t that invasive in your continent? But I guess it must have spread, and the flower head does not spectacular.

They never fully bloom at once. You’ll get small circles at a time. I love these things. And yes, they grow wild around here. 😀

That looks like a thistle to me. I know the bees and birds love them, but I’ve gotten thistles stuck in my hands and clothing and oh boy, when they get in your dog’s coat, what a mess! I had an Afghan who got into a mess of thistles and I finally had to shave him, after which (until his coat grew in) he looks like a strangely malformed Labrador.

I can imagine an Afghan getting caught in thistle. I bet he did look weird 😀

I couldn’t find this post last night and finally gave up and went to bed. I didn’t realize it had posted at all because it wasn’t exactly finished. NOW it’s finished ;-D

I remember one of my Dad’s friends growing these and how fascinating they were to me when I was little. It’s lovely to see the flowers.
