Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.
Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.
As most of you know, I’m not attending the tulip festival this year. It now costs triple what it did two years ago, and for two people and a car it is too expensive. We did drive by the fields today. I took a few shots of the fields through a fence. (See the second photo for a clear photo of the fence.)

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Stunning Cee!!! I would love to see some tulip fields. Here are my flowers for today https://wrookieschu.com/2022/04/08/friday-flowers/ … Happy Friday ☺️☺️

No tulips in my “Flower of the Day” – but I spent way to much time on my azalea blossom. See the post for more. https://cafeludwig.wordpress.com/2022/04/07/flower-of-the-day/

I can understand the bummer feeling behind this but one has to watch the pocket first in most of the cases.
At least you captured a wonderful view behind the fence 🙂

Can’t you find tulips in the park or somewhere similar? In my case the best tulips are in restaurant gardens and a condo entrance but really they are everywhere including ten feet from my apartment door. 🌷

There are some tulips around, but nothing like the tulip fields. 😀 😀

It’s a shame they’ve put the price up so much, in the end, they’ll just drive people away 😩 Love the shot with the fence in focus 😃

People come from all over the world to see these fields. I’ve been spoiled. I’m lucky I’ve always been able to go on off hours or real early or late in the day. The freeway (which is about 10 miles away) gets backed up because of people going to the fields on the weekends. 😀 😀

This is only a tiny piece of the fields. They go one forever. 😀

Hi Cee, I hope you are doing well. You’ve got some bright flowers. I found a daisy picture today as I was looking for my Taliesin West pictures from 2015 and got sucked into labeling so many that it’s 10:00 now instead of 6:00 when I should have finished my post and moved on to PPAC to get ready for tomorrow. Will I ever learn to control myself when I get around a key word? Here’s my post for this week. https://alwayswrite.blog/2022/04/07/thursday-doors-trios-and-monday-windows-at-taliesin-west/

Too bad they charge an arm and a leg to get in!

They’d be too far for me to walk this year anyhow. But if they keep charging this much, which I suspect they will, I’ll never go again 😀
