FOTD – April 9 – Peony

Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD).  During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.

Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.  Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.

My peony bush is starting to get big.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. I thought the peonies came up in late April but I just checked last years photos and it seems more like early to late May. Now I know why there’s nothing in my favorite spots yet, not even a beautiful bush like yours (the peony bush I mean). ๐Ÿคญ

  2. Peonies are so beautiful. This picture show how pretty the bushes can be even without the flowers in bloom. They get so full and the large number of blooms they produce is just magnificent. Glad you got a picture of the plant without the blooms. Great shot.

  3. Every time I see your peonies I wish I could grow them here, but they don’t like our weather. Though, if it keeps warming up, they might just change their floral minds. Meanwhile Garry got a new orchid and since he has no interest in gardening — though he likes the results — I have a new orchid. Yay! I was so hoping to get another one.

The post will be up in a few hours.
