Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.
Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.
These blue iris, I’m posting for Clare, she’s had a long hard week. These photos were all taken in my yard at one point or another.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Your blue irises are lovely. I don’t see much of that colour here. I have here some fuchsias from the nursery which we visited a few days ago.

I don’t see many blue ones either. Blueish purple, but not a true blue.

I love the blue Iris. I was looking for mine but they seem more purple so I changed to an Agapanthus flower.

OH I loved your flower. Schreiner’s has a couple that are “true blue”. The lighting has to be right or they will turn a little purply 😀 😀

My blue Iris are in shade most of the time so that makes them “un-blue” 🙂 🙂

These are so beautiful Cee. Of course I am partial to the middle one, as I have two large paintings of that iris on my living room wall. Love the color on the first one. It almost looks fake, the color is so vivid.

I so agree with you John. Hope you are doing okay today 😀

Beautiful irises, Cee 👏 My favourite has to be the pale one, so much detail of the structure 😃

That is not a bearded iris. I forget what type of iris they are. They do show the structure better and I like the lines. 😀

Stunning Irises, Cee, such a lovely, deep blue. Would look great against quartz and diamonds 😉 Here is mine this week! https://secondwindleisure.com/2022/04/17/sunday-stills-monthly-color-challenge-is-quartz-a-girls-best-friend/

Happened to have a bearded iris on my desktop – an unusual, almost brown color that bloomed in my previous yard. your white with blue stripes today is my favorite – stunning!
