Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.
Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.
This photo is dedicated to John, my brother in law, and my niece Cassandra. My sister’s birthday was on the 3rd and she so adored daisies. I even kept a little purple foxglove in the photo because my sister loved purple.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I am so glad you did daisies today. Since they were Beth’s favorite flower, I was thinking of going and getting some for tomorrow to put by her urn. And the smaller purple flowers are the perfect accent as that is her favorite color. You couldn’t have been more perfect in your choice. Now, for the picture. The clarity of the flowers against the tangled stems and leaves contrast so beautifully. I was never allowed to touch her Shasta Daisies because I always mistook them for Dandelions, and would pull them when I would weed for her. She loved mixing them with Cosmos. Great picture.

I couldn’t let this day by without thinking of you and Cassie, and of course, Beth. I’m so glad you liked this photo. I just found it appropriate.

I’m intrigued by the depression in the yellow center of the one flower. I can imagine a very fat bumblebee delving into it and rolling about.
