FOTD – May 13 – Young Dahlia

Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD).  During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.

Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.  Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.

First, I want to say thank you to all my FOTD followers. Chris and I have had a tough week. I know I’ve not been attentive to you like normal. I adore your patience and so enjoy your flowers. You continually bring a smile to my face.

It’s still raining here, so I thought I pull a rainy dahlia out of my archives.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. It was the centre mix of green and purple that caught my eye in Reader, but seeing the full image here I’m also taken with those raindrops and crisp focus. Excellent photo, Cee!

  2. I can only echo Susan, Cee. Admiring the beauty of the dahlia I almost missed that things were not going well for you. Hope you’re feeling sunnyside up soon! Sending hugs.

  4. I’m very sorry to hear that, Cee. You work so hard to keep this blog running smoothly, supporting so many challenges and inspiring so many bloggers. What you do is very much appreciated. If you need to take a step back from time to time, I am sure everyone will understand. I hope you’ll both have a much better week with lots of smiles.

  5. I am sorry that you and Chris are having a tough week Cee. I really love the deep colors in this dahlia. I bet it becomes a gorgeous full flower worthy of a centerpiece floating in a bowl of water. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way.

    • Things are getting better. Two weeks ago I had a real nasty bloody nose (bleed for 14 hours) and lost lots of blood. Anyhow, I recovered from that and Chris got herself horribly dehydrated. To the point we had to call the paramedics. She is much better now and getting stronger 😀
