FOTD – July 10 – My neighbors gladiolus

Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD).  During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.

Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.  Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. Golly, do these bring back memories! We grew gladioli for a few years, but they were pink not red. They were the pride of my garden and I still think they are a really impressive, gorgeous flower. And oh my, so red!

  2. A lovely photo of a flower I have only recently come to appreciate. When I was younger, I always thought they looked like weapons!

    • I can say, I’ve never thought of a weapon with a flower. Maybe because I grewup in apartments and my mother didn’t grow them. 😀

  3. We are singing a song in chorus by a composer here. The whole thing is flower names, including gladiolas. It is a fun and funny song. Beautiful flowers.
