Here is also my entry for City Sonnet’s, Colors and Letters Challenge. Lava gray rock or stones are fairly easy to find along the Oregon (and Washington) coast since we have a lot of extinct and not extinct volcanoes.

No wonder everything grows so well, if you’ve had volcanic activity in your area. Although farming might have its drawbacks.

The Pacific Northwest is part of the ring of volcanoes. Farming is terrific around here. 😀 😀
