Here is a cell tower made to look like a tree. I don’t think it works. It stands proudly though in Canby, Oregon.

My entry for this week
I thought I would add a little quirkiness to my entry this week.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

It would be a hoot to go back to the 70’s.

My parents still have the one they brought me home from the hospital in (when I was born). It needs work. 😂

Cellphone towers that look like trees are common in other areas.

I’m hearing that. Thanks 😀 😀

These were some fun photos. I agree the “tree” doesn’t really work but points for effort. The stairs to nowhere would be an exercise in frustration, or maybe just exercise :-). The electrical mess is really scary looking. I don’t think I’d want to go in that building.

So about that cell tower/tree: you say it doesn’t work. Does it not work as a cell tower or as a tree — or both? Just curious. I’m pretty sure I have nothing that can compare to your photos!

As a tree. Oregon is he land of tall trees and this just doesn’t make the cut 😀 at least in my mind.

Ah. No bird’s nesting. Well, they tried. Credit for the attempt at least.

Those electrical wires look a bit hazardous, exposed to the weather! 🙂

Cell phone towers that dress up like trees are a real thing. Verizon has some. They supposedly are safer for birds. The towers are not as obnoxious now because Verizon, and others, must share their towers with other cell phone companies. I personally think the phony trees look dumb, but no one asked me. The towers have been around so long now that the birds no doubt can tell the difference between a chunk of steel and a tree. Note the high tension power lines towers stretched across a valley … these always remind me of alien invaders. (I know, my imagination just grows and grows. 😉 I used to be on our city zoning and planning board back in the day, when the towers were just a new “thing.”

One of the best things that ever happened to me was when I got my job at the local daily/sunday newspaper back around 1970. I learned SO much about all kinds of things.
