Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.
Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.

Letter A – Judy from Lifelessons and I are playing with the Alphabet for flower names. Feel free to play along with us if you want. If you want help identifying flowers that start with a specific letter check out AllMyFavoriteFlowerNames.
If you don’t want to play along please just post a flower as usual.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

The only B I could use from today’s shooting (I just had to use today’s pictures) was “brush” since all the flowers were along the road mixed in with weeds plus sunflowers all gone to seed, cosmos, and some other flowers that I couldn’t identify, but I’m sure were originally garden flowers. There were butterflies and birds EVERYWHERE except in front of the lens. So you got brush, but no birds or butterflies except in thought. Well, I did get some very entertaining chickens and some birds that I think are quail but so far, I haven’t entirely identified.
Your bearded iris is as beautiful as always and the black-eyed susan are one of my favorite wildflowers. There used to be more of them. I don’t know why they are so rare nowadays.
