Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.
Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

It’s a beautiful zinnia — and coincidentally, almost exactly the same color as our car. Beautiful photo, exquisite flower!

That’s right you do have an orange car now 😀 😀

This is Garry’s second orange car. The first one was a 1969 Dodge Challenger soft top convertible. He kept it for more than 20 years until it just didn’t want to go anymore. When we got the option to get another orange car, we were delighted.

My first was a 1979 Orange Bobcat. I had it 18 years, on its second engine and over 500,000 miles on it.

You and Garry should compare notes. He ADORED the Challenger. When it finally got to needing a full restoration, not being a “car guy,” he let it go. I think he never liked any car nearly as well as he loved the Challenger.

Nothing has ever matched my car either. I had restorers envy my car, but by the time I got rid of it it was rusting in places due to the salty streets in Denver

Garry’s repair group did a poor job maintaining his car and of course, like Denver, the streets are always full of salt in the winter. Underneath it was very badly rusted. In fact, he sold it to a youngster for restoration. He decided to drive it anyway, though it was probably dangerous by then. Finally, it broke in half. It looked great on the outside, but the people who were “fixing it” never really did. What a great car. Truly a “wind in your hair let’s drive forever” kind of car.

Hard to imagine all those petals packed up in a bud. It’s a lovely colour and matches your FOTD badge perfectly! One of your favourite colours perhaps? It is very cheery.
