Love the fire, and not only because it’s that time of the year :-)..Here’s my entry:

Great photos, Cee. Your top one makes me think that weatherboard homes in your area must take a lot of maintenance so that they don’t get mouldy, with all the rain you get.

Roofs have to be cleaned and clear of moss yearly. It only gets real bad when people stop living in buildings. It is almost as if the house knows no one cares anymore 😀

Lovely wood photos! A shame about the fire – have they replanted at the Columbia Gorge?

That fire burned for months. I doubt it. But it should be starting regrow by now. I’ve not been that way since 2020. 😀

Interesting diversity. I like the green taking over the old house. In spite of my deep love of trees, I still like the smell of a small, cozy wood fire.

The aftermath of a bushfire is always a sad sight. I did like the photo of the salvaged logs, both because of the interesting texture of the logs and because it’s good they were not wasted.
Here is mine.

Fun challenge and a good mix of images. The weathered doors with the ladder are my favorite. You can see my entry here https://picture-retirement.com/2022/11/16/weathered-beauties/ Thanks for hosting.

It’s been a while since I joined this challenge but I could resist one of my favourite subjects for photograph, especially when I had some great examples from my recent trip: https://www.toonsarah-travels.blog/gallery-on-the-narayani-river/
I love your old weathered buildings, but it’s sad to see that fire damage in the Columbia Gorge

They were able to save all the buildings at Multnomah Falls.

Great photos, Cee. Although I hate seeing the charred and burnt trees, it’s good to see some being salvaged. I am going to try to sneak in under the deadline 🙂
