FOTD – February 2 – Orchid

Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD).  Please use your archived photos or find some old favorite photos if you like. Feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. 

Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers. To see entire list of accepted flowers, click here. Please do not submit photos of trees that don’t show colorful blooms or autumn colors.  Leaf close ups are always welcome.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  5. That’s a stunning orchid! Mind are budding, but slowly, slowly. Orchids last forever when they begin blooming but boy, they are so slow and sometimes, the wait is really long! I actually added more dirt to one of my orchids today. It seemed to have sprung loose from the earth is was in and looked like it was getting ready to jump out of the pot and walk around the table on its own.

  17. That’s a beautiful orchid. I have several phaleonopsis in my basement window wells right now. They do well. I just can’t seem to walk by one when I’m in the grocery store and not be tempted.
