This week my black and white challenge topic is Carvings, sculptures and Statues. I hope you have FUN with this challenge.

Be creative if you feel like it, and have fun with this challenge this week. Remember your photos needs to be black and white, desaturated, sepia (brown tones) or selective color. I’m looking forward to seeing what you all come up.
Please note that I have a series of Tips from Cee page. I posted several tips for black and white you may want to check out.
Feel free to take new photos or dig through your archives. The main object of this challenge is to have fun.

They are all fantastic. The leading one, so clever, and I find myself thinking that William Mack lived a very long time, in those times.

I don’t know why I never thought of this before, but I have a house full of statues, carvings and more. I always think of this as outdoor items, but this time, since this town is singularly lacking in outdoor art, I too some shots of my own items.
As usual, you have wonderful and creative pictures of all kinds of cool stuff. I love the chainsaw carvings. We have one of them downstairs, but yours is delightful.

Getting wood carvings in the land of big and tall timber is easy to get. I loved your entry this week 😀 😀

Each of these is so original. I couldn’t pick a favorite even – maybe the statue of the wood chopper.

Those hands are a bit too real for comfort, Cee. Making me think of an Edgar Allan Poe yarn 🙂 But I love the ‘axe-man’ and all his rivetted parts, and herons.
