Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). Please use your archived photos or find some old favorite photos if you like. Feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.
I know this tulip is a little past its prime.

Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers. To see entire list of accepted flowers, click here. Please do not submit photos of trees that don’t show colorful blooms or autumn colors. Leaf close ups are always welcome.

Thanks for hosting! Lovely tulip, can’t match it for two months. But soon our spring will come. https://fakeflamenco.com/2023/02/12/championship-of-the-orchids/

Very cheerful. Has it lost a petal and we gain a peek?

Thank you for this golden tulip. They are my favorite early spring flower.
As the days warm, I’m hoping a couple of our tulips will show their shiny heads, though so far, considering how warm it is, there’s a surprising lack of garden growth. I’d have expected more. I really hope the drought didn’t kill off everything.

Until recently, I had no idea what a Tulip looked like when the bulb opened. I’m so naive ❤️

Hi Cee
We are grown up with tulips because we lived for some time at the Dutch border not far from the tulip fields at Keukenhofen. Tulips look impressive in masses and at home in a vase even when they are gone. We have several tulips in our garden but the deer like to eat the flowers.
Keep well

You were so lucky to live so close to tulips fields. I’ve got one about 1/2 hour away and their colors are fantastic. Thanks so much for your comment 😀 😀 I appreciate you stopping by for a visit.

Nowadays we live at the North Norfolk coast, far away from any tulip field. But we have some tulips in our garden.
