Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). Please use your archived photos or find some old favorite photos if you like. Feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.

Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers. To see entire list of accepted flowers, click here. Please do not submit photos of trees that don’t show colorful blooms or autumn colors. Leaf close ups are always welcome.

It is snowing again. Yesterday it was springtime warm, today it’s snowing. Who knows about tomorrow?
I hope I will get a new indoor lily soon. Meanwhile, we have a lot of shoots for new ones outside. All tiger lilies — so none as beautiful as yours — which is fabulous! We lost almost all our fancy Chinese lilies and last year’s drought killed the few that remained. I might get a few new bulbs this year and see if they survive attacks from squirrels, skunk, and other diggers and flower munchers. I think it’s possible that it’s time for me to admit defeat. I think the critters and the strangling vines have done us in.
