Lovely murals, Cee! Hubby and I have settled in Beaverton and have done things with the grandkids regularly. We’re going to the Tulip Festival with my daughter’s family next Saturday.

I was thinking of you the other day and wondering if you were settled here yet. I hope the tulips will be blooming for you. Everything is so late this year. I used to love going to the Tulip Festival, but they have way outpriced themselves. I refuse to pay their prices the past couple of years. Have tons of fun. We should try and get together sometime. Although right is impossible for me as Chris is just getting over emergency surgery. She has a lot of muscle to rebuild. Long story, but she is doing real well.

I’ve been thinking of you since we moved up here but all the projects and unpacking made my head swell. I haven’t blogged regularly for 5 months.
I don’t think I’ll buy anything at the festival. We went to the lavender farms in Port Angeles but didn’t buy anything either.
I hope Chris recovers well. Let’s wait for warmer weather and we can talk about getting together.

I would love warmer weather. This has been an unusually cold spring.

We went back to California in February to move our stuff up here. We arrived 2 hours before the snowstorm, and we snowed in for three days. Our house is on top of a slope and we couldn’t get through the ice. My daughter and her family came to visit and brought us food!!
We all went to the beach for a long weekend. It snowed in Banks on our way back. We almost went out of gas because Hubby is still learning about driving through a long stretch without gas stations!!😀

We typically don’t get snow here, or not that much when we do. We are supposed to get up to an inch tonight. Crazy. Canby actually gets less snow than Beaverton and Portland though.

Yeah, Portland got 10.8 inches of snow on Feb 23, second to 14.4 inches in 1943. California broke the record of snow also. The weather is crazy.

Chris was in Tualatin in the hospital during that storm. It was nasty. We had maybe an inch here in Canby. 😀
