This week my black and white challenge topic is Cameras or Photographers. I hope you have FUN with this challenge.

Be creative if you feel like it, and have fun with this challenge this week. Remember your photos needs to be black and white, desaturated, sepia (brown tones) or selective color. I’m looking forward to seeing what you all come up.
Please note that I have a series of Tips from Cee page. I posted several tips for black and white you may want to check out.
Feel free to take new photos or dig through your archives. The main object of this challenge is to have fun.

It was funny that this was today’s topic because I spent almost the entire day trying to find all my cameras. I ran a solid 7 out of 10. I found cameras, but no batteries. Batteries, but no camera. But mostly, I got it sorted out. I also have more pictures of cameras and photographers in black in white than almost anything else!
Photography never fails me.

I always tell people, photography isn’t a passing fancy. It’s a hobby that lasts a lifetimes. And considering the pleasure we get from it, the costs are pretty low.

That’s a couple years ago now. I’ve got one new lens and an upgraded camera since then. 😀

Luckily, the upgrades haven’t improved the cameras much, at least so far. And anyway, I’m just out of money. Other things are now priority, but still, I yearn.

Can you imagine the size of the negative for that mammoth camera? If they used a negative. They might have used glass.

I’m willing to bet it was glass. 😀

That is why we have so few pictures from that early era. Glass shatters. Pity. We’d have LOTS more pictures of Lincoln. He was a very enthusiastic user of “new” technology.
