Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). Please use your archived photos or find some old favorite photos if you like. Feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.

Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers. To see entire list of accepted flowers, click here. Please do not submit photos of trees that don’t show colorful blooms or autumn colors. Leaf close ups are always welcome.

Another two weeks and we will have daffodils. The shoots are up, but I don’t see buds yet. Soon. But not quite yet.

I still have a few yet to come 😀

We’ve been having lovely warm days but the nights are quite cold. Great sleeping weather, but too early for planting. They keep warning us on the weather reports to not plant quite yet. Only the late winter plants can deal with night this cold — crocus (now past), daffodils, and forsythia. THEN come the tulips and after that, rhododendrons, hedge roses, and day lilies. In between are wildflowers. I suspect the Solomen’s Seal are gearing up right now because they are very early bloomers too. And violets, of course.

We aren’t getting below 32 anymore, but our nights are still in the 30s. Days are only mid 50s if we are lucky.

What an unusual daffodil.. It looks like someone has pushed in its face. I love it, actually.
