FOTD – April 10 – Lily

Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD).  Please use your archived photos or find some old favorite photos if you like. Feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. 

Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers. To see entire list of accepted flowers, click here. Please do not submit photos of trees that don’t show colorful blooms or autumn colors.  Leaf close ups are always welcome.

  7. I’ll have to take new pictures tomorrow of mine which is now opening it’s third flower in three days. So it’s now a lily, NOT an amaryllis. I hope that’s the end of this because I’m getting confused.

      • I’m not very good with plants. Good with birds and small creatures, but unless the leaf is very specific to a plant, not good at all. EVEN when I have the book and I’m staring at the plant, I still don’t recognize it. I do recognize flowers — but not leaves and stalks. Even yesterday, IN the garden, I wasn’t sure what half the things I was looking at really were. Owen recognized them, but until they flower I’m always at a bit of a loss. But I AM good with trees. Go figure.
