This post is in response to Debbie’s at Travel With Intent blog Six Word Saturday Challenge. This is my entry for Ludwig Keck’s challenge called Monday Windows.
Plants 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. You are seeing her rhododendron outside her office window.

And plant 6, the peace lily that her boss sent her after she got home. This window is showing our maple tree.

I tried to leave a comment using the Jetpack app on my phone. Couldn’t do it. What I was going to say was that the first thing that came to mind on seeing the five colorful flowerpots on the windowsill, and the pleasant greenery outside, was lightness and simplicity. Then I saw the posts on the wall and felt that I really got the intended feeling. Nice photos!

How bright and cheerful. I think it’s very thoughtful of Chris’s boss to have sent her something.

Looking at the peace lily, I realized my mother had one growing in our house for decades. She grew it in water, not soil and it thrived though I only remember it blooming a few times. I suppose it was early hydroponics. I recognized the leaves.

My mother’s plant got very little sunlight. If it got more light, it would have bloomed more. I was surprised, given how dark the house was, that it bloomed at all.

Plants that have dark leaves, don’t need as much light. 😀

Well, that living room in that house was VERY dark, overhung with really huge white oak trees. Old ones. That was the ONLY plant that survived 😉
