Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). Please use your archived photos or find some old favorite photos if you like. Feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.
I took this photo about 24 hours ago after I watered my garden. Today this bud is about 6 inches taller than the leaves. It really grew tall overnight.

Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers. To see entire list of accepted flowers, click here. Please do not submit photos of trees that don’t show colorful blooms or autumn colors. Leaf close ups are always welcome.

I love the dewdrops on the stem and the great contrast with the wooden fence.

Actually that is our hot tub, we don’t use. Would you like it?

It would need a big envelope to send in the post, but I do love a good soak.

I have pictures, lots more pictures. Also, we just planted a bunch of new ones on the back deck. They didn’t have the hanging lantanas this year, so we got petunias and begonias and something say is a pansy but looks to me like a petunia. I’m not sure there’s any real difference between the two plants.
I love your irises. Every year, I look at them and think of planting some, but I’m sure the critters would eat them. I’m tired of giving all my lovely plants to the deer and the skunk and the squirrels. My sister-in-law (first marriage) says that up in Maine where she lives, the deer have increased to such an extent that they have consumed everything that doesn’t have a high fence around it.
She warned the deer. She said, “I love you, but if you eat my rhododentrons, I am going to kill you.” And this from a woman whose current job at the University of Maine where she has been teaching forever, is teaching people to become rehabilitators to help save wildlife that has been hurt. She REALLY likes those rhodies.

It is just amazing how gardens are in such a burst right now! I think the rain did us wonders!
