Trees- Nature Photo Challenge (NPC)

This is my entry for Denzil at Denzil’s Nature blog, Nature Photo Challenge.

This first is about 1/2 mile down the street from where I live. These are giant sequoia trees.
Peach Orchard not to far where I live.
Park setting, with trees growing naturally (Douglas Fir).
Living in a temperate rainforest, wwe get lots of moss around our trees, roofs, etc.
Black Walnut Tree

    • I think it came down in our ice storm a few years ago. I’ve not been back to the park since then. They use to advertise that tree, but now they don’t even mention it. 😦

      • It was very mature. We used to have a beech tree that looked like that. It was the oldest tree that wasn’t an oak in the valley, but one day, they stopped talking about it. Even trees have a life-span, but I am always sad when one of those glorious big old trees finally passes. I hope they at least left the trunk for creatures to nest in, but if it was in a park, I suppose not.

At least you captured it at its peak.
