This is my entry for Di at Pensitivity101 hosts Share Your World and here is my response for the week.
- Growing up, were you closer to your mother or father, or was it a balance of both depending on the circumstances? I made it appear as if I were closer to my mother. Showing her attention kept her quieter.
- What was your favourite toy as a child, and do you still have it? Lincoln Logs. And no, I don’t have them anymore. In fact the only thing I have from being a child is some stories I wrote in the first grade.
- Did you have any secrets? Nope. I may not talk about everything because I am an introvert, but when asked, I’ll tell you anything.
- What did you want to be when you grew up, and are you anywhere close? At first I wanted to be a teacher, because I adored my teachers for the most part. And somewhere in high school, I wanted to a newspaper reporter. I never did go to college, so I became neither. Although I’ve been known to teach photography and energy medicine.
Gratitude – Yesterday, I had fun just doing little things around the house. It felt like I was playing all day.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Great meme for knowing how to play. Thanks for sharing your world Cee. I still have my bear, which was in fact my second as the first was stolen off my pram. My Mum kept an exercise book of my poems by her bedside which dated back to 1970 so I would have been 14. Apparently she’d read one every night. My sister chose one for her grand daughter to read at her funeral, but the vicar holding the service said I should read it as I’d written it, so I did. Hubby and I had already got the impression that my sister didn’t want me there as she had shut me out of everything and it was a pure fluke I got a text message about children at the funeral, details of which had only been sent on Facebook.

It’s not the only book of my poems Mum had kept. My sister gave them all back to me after Mum died along with a lot of little things that are so precious because the boxes they’re in are written in Mum’s own hand. With it being her birthday today, I am missing her very much.

I love this quote “knowing how to play,” Cee. It’s one of my favorites and it also works for Sunday Stills, LOL! Great you had a day off to just have some fun around the house!
