Good day everyone. Since this is a family oriented week for the most part, I’m postponing my challenges this week. So the topic of Faraway in black and white will remain as the topic for this week. Feel free to post again or just skip this week. For those of you celebrating some sort of holiday, I hope they are joyful and full of love.
This week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge (CB&W) topic is Faraway. When I typically think faraway photography, I naturally go to landscapes. But faraway is all a matter of perspective. If you have a person or object close up front in your photo and a building or farm in the background, the object in your background appears farther away from you. This technique can work real well in the world of macro photograph. The actual distance can be open to interpretation. Faraway to you could me the moon and starts or it can be a larger noticeable object in your background and a small toy in the foreground. You just need to black and white, sepia or you can use selective color. It’s another week you can be creative and have some fun.
For a list of upcoming topics, please see the list at below. Be creative and challenge yourself. Look for contrast or highly textured subjects to shoot.

MY ENTRY THIS WEEK
Mountains and the mighty Columbia River.
Tulip Fields.
Notice how you eye goes to the brightest spot, the spot of road on the top 1/3. Notice the road on the bottom and how big it looks. That is the same road after a curve or two.
This photo I used a perspective exercise a long time ago. The bottles in the foreground are 6 oz spice jars and the bag of rice just a few feet further back is actually a 20 lb bag.Qi (energy) hugs
