We are now in the leftovers of a gorgeous autumn… only browns and evergreens. I miss the flowers.

That is why I keep the flowers going year round. I end up taking thousands each year, so we can all enjoy their beauty year around.

Great shot! Zinnias are such happy flowers. I didn’t realize how much butterflies like them. This year was the first year I planted any…will definitely be planting more next year.

Beautiful and cheerful! Zinnias will not grow in Alaska, so yesterday I bought some seeds called “Mexican Zinnia” and planted them in some pots. They should grow like gangbusters here in Oaxaca. I also planted nasturtiums, marigolds, and spinach, which do grow in Alaska, but it will be interesting to see how they do here.
