My neighbors Rhododendron. I like how I lined it up with the fire hydrant.

And I hope to do this one regularly. At the moment I have problems as my web hoster for photos, has a problem and I have to send my photos by e-mail to the site for it to work. I love rhodedendron and this is a wonderful example – great shot. the problem is that they have to have special soil and I no longer have the time or energy to do it all. I just enjoy seeing the plant in other gardens.

I didn’t know they need a specific type of soil. Where I live they grow like wild flowers. We must have the right soil. 😀

I am not an expert, but I know they like acidic soil and they grow best with 4-5.6 PH values. You might have to prepare your soil, but it might be that your soil has the correct balance. In my area I would have to put in special soil, but as the roots do not go very deep, it would not be a big problem.
