I thought the plants in the left looked like chick waiting to be fed. It’s a good name

Maybe that’s how they got their name 😀

My mother loved these plants. I kept getting stuck with the job of separating them as she tried to cover a terrace with them.

They do keep spreading out. That must have been working separating it all the time 😀

Hi Cee,
I have a similar photograph but it’s of artichokes.
I wonder if this plant is related. Nicely photographed.
I may add mine tomorrow. Have a wonderful week …

I have come to really like hens and chicks and I like the chocolate tips on these. The iris reminds me of a monarch, dressed in regal purple, with the succulents like commoners around it. 🙂

It’s a popular name for the tiny succulents here in the US.

This is a fun succulent! I used to have one but it died for some reason and I haven’t had one since, although I’d like to get one! I would hang it in front of my house.

I don’t have any, it tends to get to wet here for them. When I was a kid in and living in southern California, it was used as ground cover. 😀
