July 2 – SquarePerspectives – Well protected Lily

Here is my entry for Becky’s for July Square Perspectives challenge.

This lily reminds me of me.  I had just gotten a lot of my mobility back and was enjoying going to the store and going places.  I thought it would be a beautiful spring and summer.  I could finally go out and get a lot of photos from all the fields and flower farms around me.  But as we all know that was not the case this year.  I’m this lily, all dressed up and pretty and now forced to hide behind doors.  Anyone else feeling this way?

Now to get you started here are a few perspective definitions;

  • Art – the method by which solid objects drawn or painted on a flat surface are given the appearance of depth and distance.
  • Geometry – the way that objects appear smaller when they are further away and the way parallel lines appear to meet each other at a point in the distance.
  • Point of View – a particular way of considering (looking at) something or the capacity to view things in their relative importance
  • Vista – seeing something over distance or time

  3. I have found that one of the advantages of the stay at home is that I have less laundry. I don’t go anywhere so don’t put on clean clothes when the clothes I am wearing aren’t dirty yet. Love the lily photo.

  6. Love the prelude! Adds to the charm of the beautiful picture… it’s a good idea to be all dressed up and feel special… irrespective of whether we can step outdoors 🤗

  9. Beautiful! I know what you mean, Cee. All dressed up and no place to go. But here in north Georgia things are finally opening up again for the most part. In fact, hubby and I are actually going out to eat tonight — yes, at a real restaurant! — to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary! 😀
