On the Hunt for Joy Challenge: Make a “smile songs” playlist

The topic for this week is “Make a “smile songs” playlist“.  This week is not necessarily about photos, although photos are always fun to take and view.  I want to know what songs or type of music that makes you smile.  For photos, you can show artists, people dancing or grooving to music.  You can also show a list of songs that put smiles on your face.  Youtube music videos are allowed to.  I’m excited to see what you come up with for this week.

The next few weeks concentrate on small strategies for making your job (or home life) a joy.

Tip from Ingrid Fetell Lee:  Make a “smile songs” playlist:   Whenever you hear a song that makes you smile, add it to a playlist. Turn to these “smile songs” whenever you need a little lift!

Feel free to use your photo archives and see what photos you have that fits the current week’s challenge, or even better yet grab you camera and take a new photo!  ENJOY and have FUN.

My entry for the week

I thought I would pick 3 songs that make me smile and show their youtube and a photo.

Taylor the Latte Boy – Kristin Chenoweth singer, is one of my all time favorite songs.  It’s just a cute little love poem.

Let’s Go Fly a Kite from Mary Poppins.  Some of my favorite songs that make me smile still come from that movie.  And don’t forget from the same era was The Sound of Music.

Tradition from Fiddler on the Roof.  Another soundtrack I know by heart.  I just downloaded it onto my iPhone and am listening to it all the time.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

  1. Thanks for “Tradition” – I once was the assistant director at an amateur production of “The Fiddler on the Roof” and I can still sing all the songs (even though badly as I certified in my post). It was a school production with some incredible talent. In Zimbabwe there was at the time no professional theatre whatsoever but the amateur productions were all outstanding.

    • The summer after the movie came out, we had the Watergate trial and I spent the summer with my grandparents who watch it all the time. So I went to the basement and put together jigsaw puzzles and played the only tape I brought with me “Fiddler”. It saved me that summer in so many ways. It was not a happy time in my life.
