  1. OMG! I love that Crane! So glad you joined us this week. Sorry I haven’t been too hospitable lately. My Etsy shop is getting busy and I’m spending most of my days working. It’s a good thing! 🙂

  2. Oh! Thanks for the crowned crane. When I was little there were peacocks and one or two of these crowned cranes in the local park, at least in summer, they caged them away from the public in winter. The cranes walked on the lawns and the peacock sat in the trees. Our parents’ house was on the other side of the wall to the park and the cry of peacocks is a very familiar sound to me, although whenever we had guests they were unnerved by it.

    And I love these birds. Especially the heron – I have a soft spot for them. I love the way they can be hunched and grump one minute, and tall and elegant the next.
