Here is my entry for Tina of Lens-Artists Photo A Week Challenge with the topic of Subjects Starting with the Letter-S.
Squirrel
Shadow in my office.
Stump
Sugar Maple out my window (my camellia in front of it). Unfortunately this tree got damaged in our ice storms and most likely will be chopped down.
I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.
Qi (energy) hugs
Cee
So sorry about the maples, Cee – but I love the twinkle in the eye of that squirrel!

oh that squirrel – gorgeous portrait. And may I come and sit a while in your chair in your office

You may get some (okay a lot) of cat hair. It’s basically Freddie’s chair now. It is Chris’s chair when she visits me in my office. Right now Freddie is curled up in it with the sun shining on him. 😀

I’m always covered in cat hair, but does Freddie share chairs?!

Oh yes, he will share his chair and if the sun is out he may even want your lap. 😀 😀

Love that maple tree …just a pity that it has to be chopped!

So much damage around. There are plenty of trees that survived the storm, but probably not that one. The left 1/3 is broken in two. 😀

So much damage that the storm left behind. Does it happen often in your place?
LikeLike
No, not at all. This is the worst storm in over 60 years.

You’re the first person to add “stump” and “sugar maple” to our list of S words, Cee. I’m delighted you joined us and I hope the maple survives.

Ice storms can be so hard on plants and trees Cee, what a shame the maple may come down. Absolutely loved your shadow shot. Very “film noir”!

About a 1/3 of that tree broke in half. I’m kind of hoping they keep the rest of it, but who knows. 😀 So glad you like the “film noir” photo. 😀

Your sugar maple tree looks so marvelous, Cee. Knowing about its poor demise is certainly not right.

There is a huge senior center (with houses, townhomes, condos and in back of all that a senior care center with hospital. They have the most gorgeous sugar maples and several of them will have to be taken down. Some of them survived, but most of those across the street from me didn’t survive so well. It’s sad.
