Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts leaves and berries as well as flowers.
I took this photo is from my archives.
The International Day of Pink was started by two Nova Scotia teens who saw a classmate get bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. They went to the dollar store and bought every pink shirt they could find and asked all their friends to wear one, thinking that there would be strength in numbers and the bullies couldn’t attack all of them at once.
It was a huge success. Everybody wore pink. And it’s been going on like that since 2007.
I would appreciate you continuing to post your entries on my daily post entries. If you need more information here is a link to my FOTD page.
I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I thought when I saw the title of this post that “Day of Pink” was something to do with breast cancer. But they honor that in October, don’t they? In any case today I’ll wear my mask with the pink ribbon on it in honor of those brave and caring kids! What a great idea!
