Your gorgeous photo reminds me of how mad I am at myself for missing the dahlia show in San Francisco this year. In Golden Gate Park, there is a gorgeous dahlia garden hidden away near the Conservatory of Flowers. People are too to write down the names of their favorites and they can come back and ask for the bulbs when the gardeners dig them up. I think they plant new ones each year. (I could be mistaken on this, but I was told this by another dahlia admirer there)
