Here is my entry for Jennifer’s One Word Photo Challenge with the topic of Armadillo. I broke the box wide open this week. I don’t have any photos of an armadillo. So I decided to use two words that I made out of Armadillo: Arm Load and Mallard. They are both using seven out the nine letters. Hope you enjoy my selection of photos.

So many beautiful Dahlias that even the mallard would approve eh 🙂

Perhaps the duck was on it’s way to the dahlia farm?

Love your mallard. I don’t have any armadillos either. Who has pictures of armadillos anyhow? Are they that common?

Jennifer is actually getting some. I really like her challenges and I know she likes out of the box thinking, so I went for it. 😀

I’ve only ever seen an armadillo on a Texas Highway. Unfortunately he (she?) was deceased at the time. This was way before my interest in photography and way before cell phone cameras. You did a great job deconstructing the challenge.

Thanks Emilio. I thought about an armored truck, but I don’t have a photo of that either or possibly a Knight in shiny armor, but no luck there either. 😀

Hi Cee, I guess it best to say I put a couple of shots of the Ripped Off Press “Armadillo” published in 1971
Says mostly drawn at the armadillo headquarters in Texas… saw you challenge and and had to share!!! 😉

This is great. I was trying to figure out how to approach this one because I have no armadillos either! You have given me food for thought. (and possibly a match to light my fuse of creativity. Danger ahead…)
